International Work Party is a group of volunteers working to help

Kandersteg International Scout Centre, in Switzerland.

It can be any former guest over the age of 18 or ex-staff member (or close friend),

who wishes to give their time for the Centre.

We visit the Scout Centre for one or more weeks per year, in the Spring or Autumn. Half of the week is spent working and the rest of the week is free time.

Food and accommodation are provided by the Centre, for the whole week, for free, in exchange for the work.

The work projects are varied. Take a look at the previous years to see what we have done so far. You don’t need special practical skills, but if you have any let us know.

Insurance is provided by the Scout Centre for the work days, but it is each person’s responsibility to arrange their own insurance for periods when not working and for travel. Each person arranges their own travel.

Whatever the work, you will have fun, make new friends and be of great help to Kandersteg International Scout Centre.

To cover our running costs for the IWP we are charging a fee of 15 CHF per person per work party.
